Danni Bradford Studio

“SOUTH WEST CONTEMPORARY ARTIST OF THE YEAR”

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the art completed on the back or the front of the glass?”

All the work that Danni does is on the back of the glass, so when the piece is framed it is protected behind the glass. With abstract pieces the work is sealed in with both a resin layer and a specialist backing film before it has the hangings attached.

Is the glass toughened?

Yes. All Danni’s pieces are completed onto either 4mm or 6mm toughened glass which makes them safe and strong.

Can pieces be backlit?

Because the artwork is impenetrable to light the answer is no. However, the pieces have their own natural luminescent quality and the glow you see coming from the piece is reflected light from the natural environment of where it is placed.

How are the pieces hung?

Framed pieces are hung just like any piece of artwork. They come with cord attached, ready to hang straight onto your wall fixings. Being glass they are heavier than most artwork please refer to individual listings for weights and choose an appropriate wall to hang your piece.

Abstract pieces have what we refer to as an ‘Invisible frame’ i.e it is not visible once the piece is hung, and will either be corded or D-fixings. In both cases the piece can simply be hung directly onto whatever fixings you choose, and the glass will sit or appear to float away from the wall by approx. 1”
