A commissioned artwork gives you the opportunity to work with me to create something completely personal — a piece of Verre-églomisé made especially for your home, collection or space.
Perhaps there is a particular species you love, a landscape that means something to you, or simply an idea you've been carrying around for a while. You might see an existing piece of my work and want to explore something similar, or we can start with a completely new idea. Whatever the starting point, we'll develop the idea together and create something that is uniquely yours.
What can we create?
Commissions can begin with almost anything that inspires you.
A favourite animal or bird.
A particular species of moth or butterfly.
A shoal of fish.
A favourite plant or flower.
A place that holds a special memory.
A colour palette created to sit within your interior.
Or an idea that is entirely your own.
I can work from photographs, sketches, references or simply a conversation about what you have in mind. The finished artwork can then be created to suit the scale, orientation and character of your space.

The process
01 — Let's talk
Every commission begins with a conversation. Tell me what you're thinking about, where the artwork will live and what you'd like it to feel like.
02 — Develop the idea
We'll explore the subject, composition, colours and scale together. I can work from your own ideas, photographs or references, or help develop the concept with you.
03 — Approve the design
Before I begin working on the glass, I'll share the proposed design with you so we can make sure everything feels right.
A 50% deposit is required to secure your commission and for work to begin. The remaining balance is due when the artwork is completed, before collection or delivery.
04 — I create your artwork
Once the design is agreed, I begin the process of painting and gilding on the reverse of the glass. Your artwork is built layer by layer, entirely by hand.
05 — The reveal
This is one of my favourite parts.
Once the piece is complete, the glass is turned over and the finished artwork is finally revealed.
Your one-of-a-kind piece is then carefully prepared for collection or delivery.

Commission information
Every commission is different, so the price depends on the size, complexity and materials involved.
As a guide, most commissions take approximately 6–8 weeks to complete once the design has been agreed.
I'll give you a clear quotation before work begins, along with the expected timescale.
Worldwide delivery is available, and I will discuss the safest delivery arrangements with you before your artwork leaves the studio.

Danni Bradford Studio gift vouchers can be used towards an original artwork or commissioned piece, making them a thoughtful gift for a wedding, anniversary, retirement or other special occasion.
Vouchers are available from £300 and are presented in a gold-embossed gift box with a ribbon and luxury envelope.
